For the time of anti-government protests in Thailand the national tourist assistance center will be opened to avoid possible problems that might arise for visitors. The Centre will work with different structures, such as hospitals, call-center TAT and Tourist Police.

The center will be staffed by the representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Transportation, members of the tourist police, the TAT, the Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA) and the Insurance Association. Tourist Assistance Center will promptly inform the travel agencies abroad and the media.

During the protests, which will be held in Bangkok this weekend, the Tourist Police Mobile units will control all the major tourist destinations, including the highway Ratchadamri, highway Silom, Khao San road area, and Sanam Luang.
