The best time to visit Italy from June to September. These are fantabulous months if you like to go to the seaside not too crowded and usually the weather is quite nice.

Post Re: When is the best time to visit Italy?

During July and August, you'll find that many European shops close. That is why you should visit during spring (May and early June). You can still do all of the typical tourist stuff, and it is the best season to see people happy and about. You can ride in a gondola, and you can see the most beautiful flowers you've ever seen. It is a great time to experience the culture.

April to June and October are the best months in Italy in late September trip - usually mild and temperatures are not quite so intense rush. Mid-June, the summer rush really picks up and with the visitors starting from July, to mid-September the country teems. August worst: not only does it become uncomfortable warm, muggy, and crowded, but at least the country from August 15 at the end of the month goes on vacation - and many Italians take off the month. Many hotels, restaurants and shops are closed (spa, beaches and islands, where 70% of Italians head to the left.) Easter to end of October, more and more attractions are on winter hours or closed for renovation. Many hotels and restaurants take a month or November and February, between two close spa and beach destinations become padlocked ghost towns, and than you get cold (it can snow) is expected.

Spring and autumn are the best time to go to Italy as the tempretures are not as high as during the summer months and the cities are not so crawded with tourists. You can enjoy the pace without getting mad of all the people around.
