Car rental in Florida

Hi guys, I'm planning a trip in Florida in late August-Early September and will need a car rental. My friend was able to find a car rental for a week for $250 (including tax). Is that a good deal? Or should I wait until July? I realized that existing coupon/discount code expires in a couple of months(May, June dates) and I'm wondering if I should take a chance and see if other discounts would come up in the summer. Any advice??
