Keeping laptop safe while sightseeing

I am going to Portugal in July. Half of the trip will be work related, so I will have my laptop, and half will be sightseeing. I am looking for advice on keeping my valuables (passport, money, laptop, camera) safe. I find money belts useless since they bulge under my jeans or shirt. I'm also very petite, so I'm nervous about being a target, especially since I can't rely on the buddy system. Any advice to protect my stuff? from my last Europe trip, but it can't hold my laptop. When not on business, I will probably stay at hostels, so leaving my laptop there is probably not an option.

As per my opinion Buy a durable bag to hold your pc system. Make sure it has durable zippers and clasps, and shun labels. The bag shouldn't advertise for your pc system manufacturer.
