Going to Ecuador next month to volunteer at a local hospital and learn Spanish. Will be there for 4 weeks, and then will have 10 days to tour the rest of the country. Of course I've read the guides on Lonelyplanet and Frommers, but I'm wondering if anyone has been there and has any tips or suggestions. Most of the posts in this forum mention Ecuador in passing, no one has actually detailed their trip there. Thanks in advance!
