Travel Industry of Thailand has lost $ 150 million because of actions of the opposition
Due to the prolonged protests of "Red Shirts", demanding the resignation of the Government of Thailand, the kingdom has lost about 100 thousandof tourist only in April, compared to the same period last year.

While the turnover of the tourism industry fell by 156 million dollars.

This statistics was given by the Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand Surapol Sawetseranee in the interview with the newspaper "Pattaya Daibutsu".

Nevertheless, he trusted that the "road map" proposed by the Government of the opposition will be adopted, the tumult will end and in the fourth quarter - during high season - the industry turnover will reach the earlier rates.

However, according to several Russian companies, leading in sales of Thai tourism products, events in Bangkok had virtually no impact on the volume of demand in this period.
