Is it better to spend 6 nights in Madrid or to break up the trip with 3 in Barcelona

There's a special on and I see I can go to Madrid for 6 nights or stay in Madrid 3 nights and 3 nights in Barcelona if we leave from NY. Which is best? I see there are 40 museums in Madrid. We're art lovers. You guys were right about Venice. So I'd like your input about Spain. Thanks.

It depends on you that what you want to do either you stay six night on Madrid so I just say share your days with Valencia as well.

I also agree that it totally depends on you. Both places, Madrid and Barcelona are really good for spending vacation or holiday with your friends, family or alone. Both destination has lot to offer from various museums to night clubs.
