travelling to europe in june/july

Hi,I got accepted to do an exchange in france, paris for the month of july. Wondering where i can go and what i can do on weekends? Is germany/switzerland really close by to the french border? iam about 1 hr north east of paris...never been to europe so would like some suggestions...i mgiht also stay an extra week after the program is done, so where should i visit? england? italy? spain? amsterdam??thanks in advance.

I’d like to recommend Italy which is one of the best countries in Europe for visiting where people are friendly and helpful. You’ll find plenty of outstanding places over there like Venice, Rome and Florence etc. I’d highly recommend to visiting there.
