American Spring Break - Cancun Mexico in March

Hey guys,Me and a couple guys are looking to go to Cancun Mexico during American Spring Break peak season middle two weeks of March and we were wondering whether its best to book separately or go with a package? And if we go with a package, should we go with one of the spring break focused travel agencies like STS - Student Travel Services, StudentCity, etc? If anyones gone to Mexico during this period of time, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
