Munich for 3 days

I will be in Munich for 3 days and will be arriving via train at Munchen Hbf. What will be the recommended transport mode and is there any form of ticket eg. day tickets / 10 carnets etc. that will be worthwhile buying for getting around that 3 days?

What are some of the recommended places I should visit? Or day excursions to neighbouring countries?

I think 3 days would just be enough to see Munich, don’t think you’ll really have time for neighboring places. You might however consider a daytrip to Bamberg from Munich it’s a beautiful city, 2 hours by train.
