    Kid Travel Tips

Just in case you missed my request on another branch (the wrong one, as it happens), I'm after tips on places to take my 8-yr-old son when we visit the UK in April/May. I am fairly familiar with England but have never been to Scotland, Northern Ireland or Wales and my knowledge of England is still pretty outdated.

Info on cheap travel tips (is it worth me buying a Britrail pass before I leave Oz), places to go (with child)would be appreciated. Also, will I need to book B&B's or is it fairly easy to just rock up for the night (or does it depend where you are?)? Where can you purchase vouchers for B&B's?

Really guys, anything you think would be of value I thank you for now.

Just a small suggestion for something fun to do in Scotland, myself and a friend spent a whole day looking for a Highland coo Heilan these hairy beasts so cute, and it kept us entertained, I am sure an 8 year old child would find it funny too, most of our jobs done on the Isle of Skye, a beautiful part of Scotland.

Flying with kids can be nightmare or it can be a great experience. If you have to fly with young children, there are some important kid's air travel tips. Struggling through an airport with a baby, stroller, car seat, diaper bag and other gear is enough to make many parents swear off flying forever.

It is a different experience to fly with kids. Before boarding the flight to the desired destinations, we must guide them what to do and don'ts. The kids are fast learners and easily grab what we say. It has some advantages and disadvantages...But in general..travelling is fun.
