Default Recommend a Personal Guide in Ireland/England?

Six friends (all of us 60-ish) plan to spend 10 days or so in Ireland next year and would love to know of a local person/agency who can escort us in a van to some of the best sights and tell us the significance of what we are seeing -- kind of like a coach tour but smaller and more personalized. We'd definitely like to spend some evenings in Irish pubs that have live local music, but beyond that we haven't done any planning. A history-loving raconteur would be outstanding (I have met several such delightful people in previous trips to the UK and Ireland, but don't have their names and addresses).

My husband and I are also planning a week or so in England to bookend the Ireland trip and would like to know of anyone who could provide the same service in England (primarily the center, south and west of England).

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks so much.

I can not speak for Ireland, as it was not there, but when I went to last year in Scotland and London, used to Astral Travel Small Group Tours. It was a wonderful experience. With over 15 years in a group that will pick you up at your hotel and take you to a meeting where they split into groups of different tricks that everyone signed. Can not be guaranteed a right time in front of his hotel because of traffic at the end of the tour, but we were fortunate to receive the service.

Hi, You can hire a guide online which is easy and also you can find it just searching it online because there are so many guides available. I also found one for my England trip who has good experience in the field of Guide and I also asked so many question by searching online which he gave answers very well. So, I think that it will be good for you too if you find it online.

    Goodluck!

Travel to London, Manchester, Belfast, Edinburgh, Dublin, Waterford and more. Explore famous sites in London, such as Windsor Castle, the closely guarded Crown Jewels, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly, Westminster Abbey, and even ride the London Eye, a 443 ft. ferris wheel. Visit a farm outside London on the way to Manchester.
