Middlesbrough FC - know any good jokes ?

Hi everyone,

I realise this is going to be a pretty weird request, but hey-ho...
A work colleague of mine will be 40 soon and I would like to make him a funny birthday card. His only interest/hobby (as far as I can make out) is Middlesbrough FC. So I would like to make him a witty birthday card but, not knowing anything about football, I have no idea what to put on it :O(
This guy has a very dry sense of humour, and it would be nice to tease him a little bit about eg, a recent defeat, or a useless player.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

In one of the last programs Auf Pet series Weidersen, builders of the team participated in the movement of the transporter bridge in Middlesbrough states. Several locals really thought it would. allegedly!
Hartlepool is not it? Then I could have put the old story of people hanging on a monkey suit - thought it was a French spy.
