trip to ladakh

Hi ! i am planning to go to ladakh in may. will there be breathing problem? i have a 4 yr old child.. is it ok for him to go at this high altitude, won't he suffer breathlessness?

Ladakh region is in the State Jammu and Kashmir,or it is in the North India .
Tourist point in Ladakh is Leh,Drass valley,suru valley,Razi khar is the most populer location for trip which is situated 76 Km from Kargil and near about 180 Km from Leh and it is on the Highway from Kargil to Leh.
