When you want to visit Auschwitz/Birkineau the best option to get there is to take a bus (PKS company) from a Krakow central bus station.
This is the most convenient and most cheap way to get to this killing camp, where Germans killed hundreds of thousands of people, majority of jews and Polish..

I never knew that this was a tourist destination! We visited Krakow but not this place.

Yes, I agree with you. It was terrible tragedy for people from Poland. In my opinion 5 hours is not enough to see all what is there.
