    Default Cook Islands

The Cook Island Party’s Tokorua Pareina, and the Democratic candidate, Tetangi Matapo, are contesting the seat left vacant after last year’s death of the representative, Pukeiti Pukeiti.
A NET of 15 islands in the heart of the South Pacific spread over an area the size of India with a population no bigger than a small New Zealand country town, 15,000 souls. The Cook Islands are like nowhere else, you feel so naturally at one with the island way of life. And how cool is a government that legislates that no building can be higher than the tallest coconut palm? Another great bonus with Cook Islands tourism over neighbouring French Polynesia is the local currency, the New Zealand dollar, which has a most attractive exchange rate against the US dollar, UK pound or Australian Dollar

The Cook Islands is a country in the South Pacific, with political connections to New Zealand. Its 15 islands are scattered over a tremendous zone. The biggest island, Rarotonga, is home to rough mountains and Avarua, the national capital. Toward the north, Aitutaki Island has an immeasurable tidal pond encompassed by coral reefs and little, sandy islets. The nation is prestigious for its many snorkeling and scuba-jumping locales.
