Ottawa for a weekend

I'm planning on taking my girlfriend to Ottawa for a long weekend and was wondering some things to do while we are there. We're planning on going March 5th-7th, and was looking to go see a hockey game on the 6th. Since neither of us have been there before I'm not quite sure where a nice place to stay would be. I want it to be a romantic weekend so a nice hotel would be fine I was thinking between $100-200 a night,and maybe around $50 per person range for dinner. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
